# Running apps

## Run an app on datasets stored in the cart

After browsing and selecting Planet Microbe datasets, the data of interest can be added to your personal cart using the 'Add to cart button'.

The stored datasets can be visualized, explored and removed using the Cart icon on the top right of your screen.

The list of tools currently available through Planet Microbe is accessible in the "Analyze" tab.

Clicking on the app name, will open the app launch page. Accessing the app launch page will require the user to sign into their cyverse account. After the authentication through cyverse, the user will be automatically redirected to the app page.

In the Input field, select 'Cart'. This will open a discussion window allowing to refine the selection.&#x20;

Depending on the app, other parameter inputs may be required. When ready, hit the "Run" button to launch the analysis.

## Run an app from data stored in your Cyverse Datastore

As previously stated, the list of tools currently available through Planet Microbe is accessible in the "Analyze" tab. Clicking on the app name, will open the app launch page. Accessing the app launch page will require the user to sign into their cyverse account. After the authentication through cyverse, the user will be automatically redirected to the app page.

In the Input field, select "Data Store". This will open a discussion window allowing to browse and select files from the user's personal space on the Cyverse Data Store.&#x20;

## Viewing job results

In the "Analyze" tab, you can access your current and past jobs ran through Planet Microbe and [iMicrobe](https://www.imicrobe.us/).

Clicking on the job's name will give you the job's description, status and outputs.

Once the job is complete, outputs can be accessed and downloaded from the Cyverse Data Store.
